Tedd Nesbit
PA House of Representatives

Tedd Nesbit earned his B.S. in political science from Florida State University, where he participated in the Marine Corps ROTC Scholarship Program. After college, he worked as a television journalist in Columbia, S.C.  Upon returning to the area he was employed as a licensed truck driver by a regional trucking company.  While working full time, Tedd pursued a law degree from Western Michigan, Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan.  In 2004, he graduated magna cum laude and was named the alumni association distinguished student of his graduating class.  Following law school, Tedd spent a year clerking for the Honorable John C. Reed in the Mercer County Court of Common Pleas.  He is a practicing attorney and has previously served as an assistant district attorney.
 
Aside from his professional endeavors, Representative Nesbit was a long-time member of the Grove City United Way, where he served as president; as an elder and youth choir director at the East Main Presbyterian Church in Grove City; coach with the Grove City Youth Soccer Association and the Grove City Little League baseball; and previous head coach and board president of the Slippery Rock Community Swim team.
 
Representative Nesbit ran for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2014 and was elected to represent the 8th Legislative District.    He currently serves on the House of Representatives Children & Youth Committee, Gaming Oversight Committee, Human Services Committee and the Judiciary Committee.  Tedd's legislative priorities are focused on strengthening the economy of northwestern Pennsylvania, working with the business community to bring good jobs to the area, expanding quality job training programs, fairly funding education, enhancing energy, utility and transportation infrastructure, and ensuring Second Amendment and pro-life values.  For the 2017-18 session Representative Nesbit serves on the following standing House committiees--Judiciary, Gaming Oversight and Children and Youth.
