Lou Barletta
United States Senate

Lou Barletta grew up working in his family's road construction business and was the first in his family to attend college.  Following college, Lou and his wife, Mary Grace, started a small line painting business. In just 5 short years they had turned it into the largest business of its kind in Pennsylvania and when they sold it, it was the 6th largest in the nation.
Lou ran for City Council in his hometown of Hazelton and then ran for Mayor in 1999.  As Mayor, Lou inherited a $1.2 million dollar deficit.  In just 2 years he had turned the deficit into a $500,000.00 surplus.  Lou was then appointed to the United Nations Advisory Committee of Local Authorities in 2004 and in 2008 he was named Pennsylvania's Mayor of the Year.
In 2010 Lou was elected to Congress, where he has worked tirelessly to help secure our borders, enforce immigration laws and keep us safe.
Lou Barletta is the father of four daughters and has eight beautiful grandchildren.
Lou is running to make sure that the American Dream he experienced is alive for the next generation.
