Stand Up Against ObamaCare

Sun, Jul 26, 2009
An article recently published in "The Pennsylvania Republican", our PA State Committee publication, titled "Stand Up Against ObamaCare" by State Chairman Rob Gleason was very informative.
Chairman Gleason stated the following:  "President Barack Obama is a man of excess.  Whether it's spending hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars to pay for a New York dinner date or using trillions of dollars to take over the automotive and banking industries, our new President believes that the solution for any crisis facing our nation is more bureaucracy.  It's with that mindset that President Barack Obama has approached the health care crisis, and why it's so important that we stand up and fight against his plans for socializing our health care system...."
"During a recent town hall meeting on the health care issues, Obama responded to an audience member's question about medical treatment for her 105 year old mother by stating, Maybe you're better off not having the surgery, but taking the painkiller.  That's a terrifying statement from a President, and an ominous sign of what's to come if Obama's health care legislation is passed.  In a country founded upon the principles of freedom and liberty, we should not have to worry that the government will be making our life and death decisions for us."
If you agree that you and your doctor should be allowed to make the medical decisions best for you and your family, then you are urged to contact your member of Congress and your 2 United States Senators immediately and tell them to vote against this nationalized health care reform.  Our calls do make a difference and it is critical that we make our voices heard.   The phone numbers are as follows:
Jason Altmire (Washington, DC--202-225-2565)  (District Office--724-378-0928)
Kathy Dahlkamper (Washington, DC--202-225-5406)  (Erie office--877-528-4948)
Senator Robert Casey (Washington, DC--202-224-6324)  (Erie office--814-874-5080)
Senator Arlen Specter (Washington, DC--202-224-4254)  (Erie office--814-453-3010)
